“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as if everything is.” ~ Albert Einstein
This quote is so powerful for me because it speaks to how each of us has a choice, every day, about how we experience the world.
So many things around us are miracles — we have so much to be in awe of every day. Like have you ever thought about how absolutely amazing your body is — that it can breathe on its own, or that it can convert food into energy, or heal a wound on your skin? Every day, just our body alone performs thousands of miracles.
Here is another miracle we take for granted — that you can write a name on an envelope and that letter can be delivered to a specific person anywhere in the world within days. How cool is that?
Or even that I am typing this in my living room in Santa Barbara, California, and you can see it on your screen in your own home — that technology can connect us like this though we may not ever actually meet in person. It’s an even bigger miracle for those of you who live in a different part of the world (here’s a shout out to my followers in Canada, Jordan, Israel, New Zealand and Japan!).
So take a moment to notice the miracles around you — it’s easy to do and you have lots to choose from. I can’t help but feel gratitude when I notice miracles — it makes me realize how blessed I really am.
Now make a daily practice of this and you will be using one of the techniques guaranteed to increase your happiness. And that’s another miracle.
very beautifull
hello brittandreatta,
that’s the way I first saw it, all as one word. what an incredibly beautiful name, and i’m sure you’re an incredibly wonderful individual, as well!
I was looking up a saying on a painting, when I found Einstein’s quote info and you. as Santanu said last November, yes “very beautiful”.
your heart cloud picture is also most moving to me. thank you . .. .
