“In the end, it’s not going to matter how many breaths you took, but how many moments took your breath away.” ~ Shing Xiong
This quote is a great reminder to us all. We should be crafting a life full of breathtaking moments. But those moments don’t have to be grandiose or fancy.
Sure, the view from the Eiffel Tower is breathtaking but it’s tough for most of us to have the time or money for something like that. So I like to explore the home grown options.
For me, laughter literally takes my breath away. In our house, we have tickle fights almost daily and by the end, we are all catching our breath. Nothing is more joyful that hearing my daughter, Kiana, do that cute snorting laugh she has.
We also love our pets and I find it breathtaking that these animals have come to trust humans and are willing to not only live with us in our homes but crawl in our laps and sleep — the ultimate sign of trust.
And baking is pretty amazing too. How is it possible that we can mix a few ingredients in a bowl and through the magic of chemistry, we end up with cake?
Your life is full of moments that take your breath away. The question is, are you noticing them?
