Day 15 of Finding Your Flow meditation now shifts our focus to expression—so that we boldly and completely express the flow of energy in our lives. Deepak has us start with security again so that we build on the work we did with our energy centers the previous 7 days.
As we learn to integrate and amplify the universal flow of Divine energy in our lives, we become the fullest expression of our souls. We become our best self and we bring our highest self to all situations, shifting them in subtle but profound ways.
And we can feel the connection with all the other spiritual beings on this earth and above. For me, that is where the real magic lies—feeling the sisterhood and brotherhood of the other beautiful souls around me.
The first chakra is about inner security and peace so to bring that out in the world, Deepak has us practice expressing complete peace and security. That we first envision the chakra center pulsing with bright and powerful energy and then we hold on to that as we move in the world through our daily activities.
For us souls@work, this is where we can really start to have some fun. That instead of putting on the “shield of professionalism”, we can instead envision and radiate true peace and security from not only the depth of our human being, but the infinite depth of the Divine.
For me, activating this energy center and radiating peace and security shifts how I move through my workplace. I notice that I am not feeling small, and more importantly, I don’t allow others to make me feel small.
Growing up in an abusive home, I am a little “trained” to shrink around power. To assume that I did something wrong or that something is wrong with me. This affected me as an adult, and especially at work because I could feel easily threatened by criticism and I had a high need for recognition.
But activating this chakra has been a big part of my healing process. As I have expanded and grown my connection to the Divine energy, I feel much more grounded and less “triggered” by the words and actions of people around me. They might still say or do things that may be hurtful, but it no longer knocks me down because I don’t participate in by becoming small.
And that is a powerful and wonderful place to be! You have this power too—and in fact, we had it all along. It’s our birthright as children of God and Divine beings.
Try walking through your days this week radiating peace and security. Feel the glow in your root chakra and tell yourself that you are safe and powerful. Notice how it shifts your feelings and how you perceive things. It will also shift how people perceive you.
Namaste.
