Day 2 of the Finding Your Flow meditation is about “finding happiness.” Deepak’s centering thought is that we are the source of our happiness. That real feelings of happiness flow from the small moments when we are completely present. Like the small pleasures that come when we really seeing the beauty of the clouds on our commute, or feeling the warm tea slide down our throats, or seeing the smile on the face of a colleague. Today, try to be present to the moments of small pleasures and see how many you find at work.
Happiness also comes from gratitude. What are you grateful for at work? Do you give thanks for the steady income it provides? Are you grateful for what benefits are offered to you? I know that I am grateful that my company provides access to great healthcare as well as offers exercise classes onsite. And who are you grateful for? Which colleagues make your work life more enjoyable just because of who they are?
Use the comments area to share yours.
Today, express your gratitude. Maybe send an email to your boss or HR. And tell one of your colleagues how much you enjoy him or her and how they brighten your day.
Namaste.
