Day 6 of Finding Your Flow mediation is about wisdom and intuition. Deepak Chopra states that we are all connected to the Divine wisdom of the universe — and it shows up as our intuition.
It is there, waiting for us all the time, and we can tune in to it whenever we want.
Intuition is a powerful thing. I think most of us have had times when our intuition guided us in profound ways. I know mine has saved my life on more than one occasion and I frequently get a hit to call someone or do something and have something magical happen.
And yet we also ignore our intuition. I know I do. We can brush it off when it doesn’t seem logical. It can be tough to listen to the invisible and even “woowoo” nature of intuition when you have lots of “legitimate” evidence on the other side. The pro and con list can be heavily weighed in one direction and yet, your intuition can be telling you to make the other choice.
The seemingly “wrong” choice.
For us souls@work, this challenge can be especially difficult. Most of our workplaces focus on the data. Decisions have to be justified with proposals, project plans, and estimates for the return on investment. Don’t get me wrong, I love data and it definitely plays a role but what do you do when all that data goes against what your intuition is telling you?
What if we were to share what our intuition was telling us? What if we considered this relevant “data” to contribute to the discussion? Perhaps you have had that experience already. What happened?
Let’s create workplaces that honor intuition and reward people who risk sharing theirs. The next time you are looking at data and making a decision, stop and ask yourself and the others around you to share what your intuition is telling you. Perhaps the Divine wisdom is guiding your project in ways that will make all the difference.
Namaste.
