Practical tips for spiritual beings with day jobs. Let’s explore how you can flourish through the spiritual lessons of your work and uplift others in the process. If you’re like me, you’re spiritually conscious. You meditate — you do yoga — you try to life your life mindfully. And then you have to go to work. Although I’m thrilled to hear about companies that offer meditation classes and executives who embrace mindfulness, the truth is that most of us don’t work at those enlightened places. In fact, our day jobs can be down right toxic and smush our highest self. But if we want the world to become better, we have to change our workplaces… from the inside out. I’d like to share with you some practical tips for:

  • bringing your highest self to work,
  • showing grace in common workplace challenges, uplifting others in the process
  • learning the spiritual lessons your job presents
  • and becoming an “agent of enlightenment” so that someday, we can all work for a conscious organization.

Let’s move from inspiration to action and change the world one job at a time!

Set up

We’ll look at how you can best prepare yourself so you can be authentic and open-hearted throughout the work day. Most of us deal with our jobs by putting on a shield. It may look professional on the outside but it also blocks our authenticity and highest self from shining through. We’ll take a look at how you can use your commute, your work space and lunch break to keep you connected to your highest self.

Besides our families, our jobs are the greatest source of our spiritual lessons and growth. And it’s no accident that you probably have a job that takes you to your yoga edge of comfort, if not far beyond it. I’ll share practical tips for flourishing through the “soul work” your job provides. You’ll also learn strategies that will transform typical workday experiences like staff meetings, one-on-ones with your boss, and interactions with your coworkers. More posts coming soon…

Speak up

Around the globe, more and more of us are becoming conscious. But most of our societal structures are still mired down in the old ways of competition and hierarchy, including most of our workplaces. I believe that it is dangerous for us to wait for our leaders to wake up on their own. We need to be “agents of enlightenment” and help intentionally raise the consciousness of those in our personal spheres of influence. I’ll share tips and information for gently, but convincingly, helping others see the wisdom and financial benefit of creating conscious and mindful workplaces. More posts coming soon…

"Britt is a gifted facilitator, period. Whether in a large group setting or one-to-one, she guides in a way that keeps focus and structure while allowing for and encouraging spontaneous discovery. She knows the power that lies in the process itself, and creates an environment that encourages personal insight to emerge. I have benefitted greatly from some deep discoveries that have occurred in one-to-one and small group settings with Britt."

"Facilitating change, transformation and the realization of our authentic selves is clearly one of Britt’s many gifts and callings. Britt consistently brings kindness, compassion and a tireless commitment to supporting people in going for their dreams. She is a talented group facilitator, an empowering life coach, and an inspiring public speaker and teacher. It has been a priceless gift having Britt’s support in my life."
